Our Stance

Hi,

This is Aftertaf, the singer and lyrics writer for The Knowing Believers.

We are not present on Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Twatter(X), Tiktok, WhatsApp or other mainstream social platforms.
We won't be creating profiles on any of these platforms as we are firmly against what they stand for and how they operate.

There is no judgement upon those who choose to remain on them, but I wish more of us would find the courage to make the change and close their accounts - as consumers this is probably our only real power against this cohort of nasties.

Speak to your friends, colleagues, family and explain that there are alternatives to these god-forsaken shitholes that do not require you to sell your soul and entire identity so that big-tech can monetize it.

Yeah, our music is on all the major streaming platforms - this may come across as hypocritical and I get you, it hurts me to have to be on some of them.
There are strictly no other ways to get your music out nowadays so yes, we are being put out on these platforms for which I do have strong feelings against some.

We all have to choose our battles and how radical we want to go but the sacrifice is harder the further you go.

Let's not judge each other, but stop using these toxic platforms wherever we can. Best efforts always apply.
