Under a barren Son

Under a barren Son

Cover Art

a song about childhood suffering, from abuse by another child

Based on a True Story (tm).

Suffering and being a victim of bullying, or any other type of abuse, is a very common and misunderstood condition. It happens to most of us at some point in our life to be victim to somebody else's malicious intent or desires.  The other person almost always has a back-story but this cannot and should never serve as justification to dish out abuse onto others in any way or form.

It’s very strange how this song came about.
A memory came to the forefront from an idea and a moment of my life, and the lyrics wrote themselves literally in a matter of hours.

I feel proud of this song: the actual words, chosen in order to keep and stay in rhythm, are also precise in their relevance of the overall experience.

Lyrics

You're barren

Older than me, you traumatized.
Using your strength, through victim's eyes (I'm victimised).
I was just a kid, you barely a man,
Made me your play-thing, because you can.
Nothing behind your eyes, sparked out long ago.
Innocence kicked out of you, scorched earth doesn't grow.

Nowhere to run to, abandoned child.
No way to fend for myself,
to keep me from the vile things that you made me do,
I wont make it a mile.

No way out here with my dignity.
The missing piece is your empathy.

I'm on my knees, do what you please.
I'm losing my humanity.
You dominate me, desecrate me, I'm victimised.

Dominate me ! Desecrate me!

Keeping watch with a glass eye.
No wonder you can't see me cry!
Antipathic Family !

The shit you put me through, being forced to touch you too.
I know that something isn't right, trapped in your eternal night.

I was just a kid, you barely a man
Made me your play-thing, because you can.
Nothing behind your eyes, sparked out long ago
Innocence kicked out of you, scorched earth doesn't grow.

things that you made me do, I wont make it a mile
Never told anyone about you.
Too scared to look at you, don't want to see your smile
Is this just what kids will do ?

Nowhere to run to, abandoned child.
No way to fend for myself,
to keep me from the vile things that you made me do.
I wont make it a mile.
No way to fend for myself,
to keep me from the vile things that you made me do.
I wont make it a mile.
